Michigan Imam Praises Hezbollah: Radical Islam’s Threat to America
An imam from Dearborn, Michigan, said in a speech during a fundraising event for
families in Lebanon who were displaced by the war between Israel and Hezbollah
that it was a blessing to have “known” and been “attached with” slain Hezbollah
leader Hassan Nasrallah and all the “martyrs” in Lebanon.

Mohammad Ali Elahi of the Islamic House of Wisdom made these remarks on January
8th. Elahi, an Iranian-born imam who immigrated to the United States in the
early 1990s, has been accused of his longstanding ties with the Iranian regime.
“We are so blessed with knowing these people [Hassan Nasrallah and the martyrs]
being attached with these people, being honored that they are part of Lebanon,”
Elahi said.
Elahi also said that “Sayyed [Hassan Nasrallah] and the people who sacrificed in
Lebanon and Yemen to support the cause of the oppressed in Gaza” are the “real
winners of 2024” and “The victorious,” adding that “the other guys who continued
their violence and viciousness” such as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu, are “the real losers.”

“[Allah says in the Quran:] ‘And the Party of Satan are the losers.’ They are
not going to be remembered with honor. They will be remembered as war criminals,
as warmongers, and insane people, evil. So really, these people who showed that
much faith, that much love, that much heart – they deserve every support.” Elahi
further claimed.
Elahi even talked about his vow, where he is willing to sell an apartment he has
back home” to build a little home for someone in southern Lebanon.
“I even made a vow that, Allah willing, when things are settled in Lebanon, I
have a little apartment in, you know, back home… so I said that if I have to
sell that and make a little house for somebody in southern Lebanon, I am ready
to do that,” Elahi claimed.

“You did your job, our beloved martyrs. We send our salam and our salutations to
you,” he added.
He then prayed for the “Zionists” to be defeated and for support to the
mujahideen.
“Oh Allah, humiliate their enemies, the corruptor, criminal, occupying Zionists.
Asking for Your mercy, oh most Merciful One, on the souls of the martyrs, for
curing the ill and the wounded among them, and to support the mujahideen, we
will recite the Fatiha chapter in the Quran after the blessings upon the Prophet
Muhammad and His family.” Elahi said.
